Quinceañeras

Nine quinceañeras, and not one of them the same day. Camila's is the portrait session families ask for on its own — Kimberly Crest House in Redlands, no party attached. Natalie's is the whole celebration at Rancho Quitasueños in Jurupa Valley: the dress before anyone has seen it, her mother putting on her earring, and the whole afternoon at the fountain in the courtyard, where the ranch does its best work. Lianette took the red dress to Pasadena City Hall in the afternoon and danced in it that night. Then Vive Banquet Hall in Riverside, where we photograph most of our quinceañeras: Erika and her cake, Kaylee's cambio de zapatilla, Kimberly's vals, Bella, Ariana and Isabella. We photograph in Spanish and English, and we plan around the chambelanes, la última muñeca and el cambio de zapatilla rather than hoping to catch them.
