What shooting in Fontana is actually like.
Most of the weddings and quinceañeras I photograph in Fontana happen in banquet halls, and most of those halls have no windows. That is a reasonable trade for a room that has to work in August, and it means every photograph inside is lit by what I bring rather than by the sun.
What it changes is where the portraits happen. In a windowless hall the honest answer is usually outside — the entrance, a wall on the shaded side — for twenty minutes before the reception starts. It is worth asking your venue about that when you tour, not on the day.
The other Fontana constant is timing. I have had a DJ start the vals twenty minutes before anyone expected it, with half the court still outside. Twenty minutes with the full group before the party starts solves nearly all of it — ask for it in the planning meeting, and tell the DJ and the venue coordinator too.
Church ceremonies here are their own thing. Several Inland Empire parishes do not allow flash, and a full Mass runs ninety minutes. That is a lens-and-patience problem, not a lighting one, and it is worth knowing your photographer has sat through it before.
